Tucking

Explaining Tucking in the UNIRA Protocol

In the UNIRA DeFi protocol, a thoughtful provision called "Tucking" offers flexibility to users who may find it challenging to adhere to the Activity Mandate every 14 days due to various commitments. This mechanism is designed to accommodate diverse schedules while maintaining engagement within the Unira ecosystem.

The Concept of Tucking:

Tucking enables users to securely tuck away their UNIRA tokens within a dedicated Tucking contract. Once tucked, these tokens are exempted from the Activity Mandate rule, providing users with an alternative way to ensure their continued participation in the ecosystem.

Staying Active with a Twist:

Instead of the periodic Activity Mandate, a fixed 1% tax is levied on the tucked tokens every 14 days. This nominal fee allows users to consistently contribute without the risk of hefty penalty fees. By tucking, users can harmonize their busy lives with their commitment to the vibrant Unira community.

Tucking Timeline:

Tucking remains accessible during the period spanning from Day 1 to Day 300 within a Season. All tucked tokens are automatically untucked on Day 300, transitioning back to the standard Activity Mandate rules. This approach ensures that users have the opportunity to engage at their pace while ensuring a balance within the ecosystem.

Untucking and Penalties:

Should a user decide to untuck their tokens before the Day 300 mark, a penalty structure is in place based on the duration of tucking:

  • Untuck within 60 days of tucking: 40% penalty

  • Untuck within 120 days of tucking: 30% penalty

  • Untuck within 180 days of tucking: 20% penalty

  • Untuck within 240 days of tucking: 10% penalty

In essence, Tucking offers a flexible pathway for users to maintain their connection to the Unira ecosystem while accommodating their unique schedules. It's a thoughtful provision that underscores the protocol's commitment to inclusivity and engagement.

**The penalty % might change based on future DAO governance proposals.
